PALAWAN, PHILIPPINES — The world has spoken: Entalula Beach in Palawan has been crowned the “Most Beautiful Beach in the World 2026”, topping an international ranking compiled by more than 1,000 leading travel experts.
The global panel evaluated beaches across eight criteria — uniqueness, wildlife, untouched nature, natural soundscape, ease of water access, calm waves, low visitor density, and year‑round idyllic conditions. The result is a definitive list of the planet’s 50 most breathtaking coastal destinations.
A Hidden Masterpiece in Palawan
Taking the coveted No. 1 spot, Entalula Beach impressed experts with its powder‑white sand, crystal‑clear turquoise water, and the dramatic limestone cliffs that frame its shoreline. Located on a small, undeveloped island off El Nido and accessible only by boat, the beach has preserved a sense of seclusion and raw natural beauty rarely found in today’s world.
Travel specialists praised its “magical solitude,” noting that the absence of mass tourism allows visitors to experience Palawan’s landscapes in their purest form. Towering palms provide natural shade, while the gentle waves and shallow entry make it ideal for swimming.
Greece and Australia Follow Closely Behind
In second place is Fteri Beach on the Greek island of Kefalonia — a secluded bay surrounded by white cliffs and accessible only by boat or a steep hiking trail. Its mix of white pebbles, soft sand, and the Ionian Sea’s signature turquoise waters earned it high marks for tranquility.
Australia’s Wharton Beach in Western Australia secured third place. Known for its surreal blue water, pristine white sand, and excellent surf conditions, the beach is also a hotspot for dolphin sightings.
